Shelley Courington is the Founding Partner of Evergreen Strategic Solutions, where she helps organizations navigate complex environments, strengthen their operations, and drive strategic growth. With over 25 years of experience, she is known for her ability to translate complex challenges into clear, actionable plans. She advises clients on strategic growth, organizational management, communications, and stakeholder engagement, while developing customized approaches to advocacy and public positioning. Her work includes designing and implementing comprehensive grassroots and government relations strategies, training teams and volunteers, and creating communications and marketing plans that elevate visibility and effectiveness.

Eric Evans

Partner

Eric Evans is a Partner at Evergreen Strategic Solutions and a seasoned public policy strategist and grassroots advocacy leader with more than two decades of multi-state experience. Eric has focused on advancing legislative and regulatory priorities across the healthcare, aging, and nonprofit sectors. His work has contributed to significant policy victories for AARP, including reforms focused on family caregiving, insulin affordability, broadband expansion, and consumer protection. He also helped lead successful advocacy efforts for the American Cancer Society, advancing cancer screening mandates, prevention funding, and smoke-free laws throughout Kentucky.

With over 20 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, Alex Close joins Evergreen Strategic Solutions as a specialist in helping organizations navigate their most pivotal moments. Having led teams and advised on policy both in the U.S. and overseas, Alex brings a grounded, international perspective to organizational leadership. He focuses on helping groups evolve their internal structures and strategies so they can stay effective and mission-aligned, regardless of the complexity of the environment around them.
